Granny Gear is a one-woman show focusing on honest reviews, advice, and tutorials.
All content is written from my personal point of view, hoping to give real insight to other women looking to get outside.

A bit about me: I started mountain biking a little over a year ago. I can’t say that I was instantly hooked, but with a lot of trail and error and encouragement from friends, I eventually managed to come into my own. I have since ridden some of the best trails in the country and have an ever expanding “to do” list of places to visit.

However, my first love, is cyclocross. I race for a local shop, Loose Nuts Cycles. Racing is what initially gave me confidence in my riding and introduced me to a whole crew of amazing, likeminded folks. 2017 will be my second season racing the Georgia Cyclocross Series, first reason racing in the elite women’s field. While Granny Gear is primarily focused on mountain biking and travel, I’m always open to talking to women about racing!

I don’t consider myself an expert in anything. What is hard to me, may be a breeze to you and visa versa. Granny Gear is definitely an ongoing project that will follow along with lots of learning, progress, and trial and errors.
At the end of the day, I just love what I do. If my dumb rambles can get even one person stoked, that’s cool with me.
